The Bloody City

Ezekiel 22

The Lord charges Jerusalem as a bloody city filled with idolatry, oppression of the orphan, widow, and stranger, sexual immorality, bribery, and profaned sabbaths, committed by its princes, priests, and prophets alike. Finding no one to stand in the gap on the city's behalf, the Lord declares he will gather and melt the people in his wrath like metal refined in a furnace.
