The Vision by the Chobar

Ezekiel 1

Ezekiel the priest, in captivity by the river Chobar, sees the heavens opened and beholds a vision of God: a storm out of the north bringing four winged living creatures with four faces each, moving beside wheels full of eyes, beneath a crystal firmament and a throne with a fiery, glorious likeness above it. He identifies this whole vision as the appearance of the glory of the Lord.
