The Northern Conquest
Joshua 11
A coalition of northern kings led by the king of Asor gathers a great army with horses and chariots at the waters of Maron, but Joshua defeats them suddenly, hamstrings their horses, and burns their chariots as the Lord commanded. Joshua takes Asor and the surrounding kingdoms, and the chapter closes with a summary of his long campaign and the land's rest from war.
