Judgment on Mount Seir

Ezekiel 35

The Lord pronounces judgment against Mount Seir, that is Edom, for its long-standing hatred and violence toward Israel and for claiming Israel's land as its own, declaring that it will become a perpetual desolation.

ThomsonBecause thou hast been a perpetual enemy and didst deceitfully lie in wait for the house of Israel—hast been a sword in the hand of enemies in the time of revolt, in their last extremity;

Thomsonand fill with the wounded thy hills and thy valleys: and in all thy plains, the victims of the sword shall fall in thee.
