David's Final Offering
1 Chronicles 29
David asks the assembly to join him in giving generously from their own wealth for the building of the temple, and the leaders and people respond with joyful, freewill offerings of gold, silver, and precious stones. David then blesses the Lord in prayer before the congregation, offers great sacrifices, and Solomon is anointed king a second time before David dies in old age after a forty-year reign.
