Peace, Peace, but No Peace

Jeremiah 6

The Lord announces that a besieging army is coming against Jerusalem from the north, and calls the people to mourn and flee for safety. He rebukes the priests and prophets who have healed the wound of his people lightly, saying Peace, peace, when there is no peace, and declares that the people, tested like silver, have proven to be rejected metal.
