Eating the Scroll

Ezekiel 3

Ezekiel eats the scroll at the Lord's command and finds it sweet as honey in his mouth, then is sent to speak to the exiles, who will refuse to listen just as they refuse the Lord. The Lord appoints him a watchman responsible for warning the wicked and the righteous alike, and afterward binds and silences him except when given a word to speak.
