The War Against Moab

2 Kings 3

Joram of Israel joins Jehoshaphat of Judah and the king of Edom to put down a rebellion by Moab, and when their armies nearly perish for lack of water in the wilderness, Elisha promises deliverance and victory. The Lord fills the valley with water, the allied kings rout Moab, and the king of Moab, in his distress, offers his eldest son as a burnt offering on the city wall.
