The Repair of the Temple

2 Kings 12

Joash reigns in Judah under the guidance of the priest Jehoiada and arranges for temple funds to be used to repair the house of the Lord, a work eventually accomplished faithfully by the workmen. When Hazael king of Syria threatens Jerusalem, Joash sends him the temple and palace treasures to turn him away, and Joash is later killed in a conspiracy by his own servants.
