The Lord Calls Samuel
1 Samuel 3
While Samuel lies near the ark at Shiloh, the Lord calls his name three times before Eli realizes it is the Lord speaking, and Samuel is given the word of judgment against Eli's house; as Samuel grows, all Israel comes to recognize him as a faithful prophet of the Lord.
