Hannah's Song and Eli's Sons

1 Samuel 2

Hannah offers a song praising the Lord who humbles the proud and lifts up the lowly, after which the child Samuel grows up ministering at Shiloh while Eli's sons Hophni and Phinees abuse their priestly duties and take offerings by force; a man of God warns Eli that his house will be judged and that his two sons will die on the same day.
