1 Chronicles 25
David and the army commanders set apart the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with harps, lutes, and cymbals in the service of the house of God. Their descendants, numbering two hundred eighty-eight skilled singers, are divided by lot into twenty-four courses of twelve each for the daily ministry of song.
