Offerings, the Sabbath-Breaker, and the Fringes
Numbers 15
The Lord gives regulations for grain and drink offerings to accompany sacrifices, for the firstfruits of dough, and for the offering required when the whole congregation or an individual sins unwittingly, distinguishing this from willful sin. A man found gathering sticks on the sabbath is stoned by command of the Lord, and the people are told to wear fringes on their garments as a reminder to keep all the Lord's commands.
