Jeremiah 52
This closing chapter retells the siege and fall of Jerusalem under Zedekiah, the killing of his sons and the princes of Judah before his eyes, and his blinding and captivity in Babylon, along with the burning of the temple and city and the carrying off of its bronze, silver, and gold furnishings. It ends by recording that years later Joakim king of Judah was released from prison in Babylon, treated kindly, and given a regular provision for the rest of his life.
