Flight into Egypt
Jeremiah 50
Azarias and Joanan accuse Jeremiah of speaking falsely at Baruch's urging, refuse the Lord's word, and lead the remaining people, along with Jeremiah and Baruch, down into Egypt to Taphnas. There the Lord instructs Jeremiah to hide great stones at Pharaoh's gate as a sign that Nebuchadnezzar will come, set his throne upon them, strike Egypt, and burn the temples of its gods.
