A Light to the Gentiles

Isaiah 49

The Lord's servant, called from the womb, is given not only to restore Jacob but as a light to the Gentiles, so that salvation may reach the end of the earth. Zion, who had said the Lord had forgotten her, is assured that the Lord cannot forget her any more than a mother can forget her child, and is promised the return of her scattered sons and daughters.
