Hezekiah's Prayer and Assyria's Fall

Isaiah 37

Hezekiah sends to the prophet Isaiah in his distress, then prays before the Lord in the temple over Sennacherib's threatening letter, and Isaiah announces that the Lord will defend Jerusalem and turn the Assyrian king back. The angel of the Lord destroys the Assyrian army in the night, and Sennacherib is later killed by his own sons after returning to Nineveh.
