Ephraim's Wound
Hosea 5
The Lord calls priests, the house of Israel, and the house of the king to hear his charge against them, for Ephraim has gone deep into fornication and will not return to God. Ephraim seeks healing from the Assyrians rather than from the Lord, and the Lord declares he will be like a lion tearing his prey until the people seek his face in their affliction.
