Jacob's Journey to Egypt

Genesis 46

Jacob sets out for Egypt, offering sacrifice at the well of the oath where the Lord appears to him in a night vision and promises to go down with him and bring him up again, making him into a great nation there. The chapter lists the names of Jacob's sons, grandsons, and the seventy-five persons of his household who came into Egypt, and closes with Joseph meeting his father and instructing his brothers how to answer Pharao as shepherds.
