Famine and the Bones of Saul

2 Samuel 21

A three-year famine is traced to Saul's bloodguilt against the Gabaonites, and seven of Saul's descendants are handed over and put to death, with Respha keeping vigil over their bodies until David gathers and buries their bones along with those of Saul and Jonathan; the chapter closes with accounts of battles against Philistine giants.
