Juda Under Babylon

2 Kings 24

Joakim serves Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon for three years before revolting, and the Lord sends bands of Chaldeans, Syrians, Moabites, and Ammonites against Juda because of the sins of Manasses, until Joakim dies and his son Joachim reigns briefly before Nabuchodonosor besieges Jerusalem, carries him and its treasures, craftsmen, and mighty men captive to Babylon, and sets up Sedekias as king in his place. Sedekias also does evil in the sight of the Lord and eventually revolts against the king of Babylon.
