Samuel's Farewell Address

1 Samuel 12

Samuel reviews his own record of honest leadership, recounts the Lord's past deliverances of Israel through the judges he raised up, and rebukes the people for demanding a king, calling down thunder and rain as a sign of their wrongdoing; he urges Israel and its king to fear and serve the Lord faithfully, warning that continued evil will bring ruin.
